Burberry Classic Haymarket North/South Tote, Handbag of the Day

burberry toteRunning errands or strolling the farmer's market doesn't have to include a paper or plastic bag. Why not shop in style with this classic logo and check patterned tote trimmed in fine leather? Certainly Burberry's Classic Haymarket North/South Tote is more functional than any disposable sack with its sturdy double handles with a five-inch drop, inside pockets and upright structure. Items can easily be placed inside the tote's spacious interior and the bag's neutral tones makes it a year-round favorite. This is the perfect carryall for all your day-to-day needs for $495 -- another must-have on my list! (12" x 10 1/2" x 5")

Valentino 360 Hobo, Handbag of the Day

valentino 360 hobo
It seems like every time I write about a Valentino handbag it typically has a touch of romantic fancy about it. Whether it features rosettes or rich crimson tones, their bags always achieve a true sense of femininity. This Valentino 360 Hobo certainly embodies the same qualities with gorgeous, supple nappa leather available in either black or red, and a tied bow at the center closure. Complete with double handles with a nine-inch drop, satin lining and logo plaque, this sumptuous hobo fits into one's social life, professional obligations, and weekend plans for $1,395. (20" x 13" x 6")

Nancy Gonzalez Pleated Crocodile Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

Oh how I love purple! I don't know what it is but it is at once bold, mysterious, earthy and feminine all in one neat package. So obviously I approve of Nancy Gonzalez's choice of color for this fantastic handbag. This eggplant-hued Pleated Crocodile Shoulder Bag has stunning braided handles with a six-inch drop, inside pockets and a suede lining. A well proportioned bag, it hugs beneath the arm yet is spacious enough for a legal pad making it work-worthy. A delicious compliment to any outfit, Nancy has created an elegant yet contemporary handbag for the modern woman. I just need to find $2,850 to make it mine. (13" x 9 1/2" x 3 1/2")

Victorian Playhouse from Posh Tots

playhouse
Posh Tots has outdone itself again offering a swanky pad for the young and wealthy to enjoy tea and cupcakes in that is separate from the main house. The Victorian Playhouse is custom-built to suit your dimensional needs for $23,400 and ships in just ten weeks -- which means you could have it in time for the holidays! Sophisticated, sweet and definitely feminine the playhouse is nice enough for country club ladies to dine in...just a bit too small. And since Posh Tots' bankruptcy filing back in January it looks as though they are doing alright now especially if just a handful of people ordered one today. In order to get a real sense of just how posh this pad is check out the gallery below.

Burberry Check Hobo, Handbag of the Day

burberry check hobo
Perhaps it is because I'm often drawn to classic styles, simple colors and subtle sophistication, or maybe it is because Burberry has a propensity for making fantastic handbags, but this Check Hobo is fabulous. With tiny pleats and patent leather trim the black and white nylon check pattern is encircled in high-society style. This bag is fully lined, includes inside pockets, zipper closure, and a single strap with a seven-inch drop. Classy, timeless and perfect for any occasion, the hobo is definitely for me! ($695 -- 9" x 14 1/2" x 2")

Hercek Custom-Built Billiard Cues

pool cue
Whether you shoot pool or just appreciate custom-built sports equipment Hercek's billiard cues are one-of-a-kind pieces worth the ten-year wait. Hand constructed from pre-ban elephant ivory and exotic hardwoods with the occasional precious metals and stones, such an intricate process like the full-splice method can take over a year to complete. Only thirty cues are made each year accounting for the long wait-list. Prices start at $20,000 for just one cue -- I can't imagine what you would pay if you intended to purchase a set! Check out the gallery to get an idea of Hercek's creativity and fine craftsmanship.

DNA2Diamonds

dna2 diamondsWould you rather have a diamond that has been mined or created from personal carbon sources from you, a loved one, or pet? DNA2 makes diamonds from a lock of hair or cremated ashes making your bling a little more special -- or for some it may just be creepy. Interestingly the diamonds that are created do get certified by the GIA (Gem Institute of America). The diamonds are available in three distinct colors: cognac, red and yellow-green. Each stone can be cut into a Radiant, Princess or Brilliant diamond ranging in size from 0.25 to 2.0 carats. I'm just not sure I would want such a personalized piece of jewelry -- it is one thing to choose to wear someone's birthstone or a family heirloom that has been passed down but sporting someone else's DNA is a bit strange to me.

Helena de Natalio Carrie Leather Hobo, Handbag of the Day

helena de nataliio hobo
This is my first introduction to Helena de Natalio and I have to say I like what I see! The circular hobo shape makes it easy to wear for the woman on-the-go and the luscious electric blue color is divine (although it is also available in classic black). Not constrained by season in either its color or shape makes this relatively inexpensive handbag a year-round favorite. Complete with an adjustable shoulder strap that can expand from a thirteen-inch drop to a twenty-six-inch drop, two outside zipper pockets, three interior pockets and a zipper closure, this bag would make a fun addition to any ensemble for $394 available exclusively at Saks. (19" x 10" x 6")

Carlos Falchi Python Satchel, Handbag of the Day

carlos falchi satchel
Although not a new concept, a rich-toned python satchel is still lovely. Carlos Falchi adds a bit of his own flair cinching in a little on each side and placing the python pattern in a way that mirrors an ombre style. It is accented by goldtone hardware, double handles with a five-inch drop, a detachable shoulder strap with a 18 1/2" drop, interior pockets and pen holsters. Unfortunately this isn't a terribly unique handbag but it is still quite eye-catching for $2,910. (18" x 12" x 5")

Oreste & Emma Radiators from Antrax

radiatorCombine sheet metal, radiant heat and pop-art -- what do you get? Playful radiators from Antrax for your home or contemporary social space. Modern, sleek and fun these traditional symbols for 'men' and 'women' were reconstructed into purposeful water or electric based radiators by Italian designer Andrea Crosetta. Measuring 172cm tall these funky signs can direct bathroom traffic or simply accent a bathroom wall. I'm always drawn to items that have more than one purpose and these certainly fit the bill!
